Naga’alu drifts above the province of Hursan’alu, a floating island raised into the sky by the artificer Arcanis. It serves as a gathering place for magic users of every discipline, drawn to study the wild currents of arcane power rising from the forests of Hursan’alu and the deeper mysteries of Ḫuršān Šaḫrūti. Though its gardens and terraces are lush with vivid flora, the island is devoid of animal life. According to legend, this absence stems from Arcanis’s defiance of the Ḫuršān god Ellintu, a conflict that drove every creature from the land when the island was lifted from the earth.
Now, Naga’alu stands as a beautiful yet unsettling refuge. The towers, walkways, and halls of the Naga’alu Wizards College remain intact, but their quiet stillness gives the place an air of abandonment. Airships ferry new arrivals through its hushed skies, carrying students and scholars into an environment where brilliance and unease intertwine, shaped by lingering magic and the echoes of ancient defiance.
